33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, I think 9-14 A, but the dots are in the middle so it could be B as well.. Hazy dark orange/amber colour, white head. Aroma of sugar, thick ripe fruit aromas, tropical fruits, mainly mango and pineapple, grass, esters and alcohol, yeast, quite like some Belgian ales. Flavour is sweet, sugar, a firm floral sweetness, light fruity, some sharp alcohol esters and grass in the bitter finish. Medium to full-bodied. Nice, but could do with less sugar imo.

Galaxy-hoppedVery thick-set, dense yellow-cream head over coppery-orange, clear beer; Very fruity USA-hops’ nose; the muscatgrapes, lychee, citrus. Dusty hopbales. Bitter, but also aromatic hopflavour, with citrus, grapefrutiy, rosepetasl, lychee, bitter melon. Finish is sweeter and creamier. Well-bodied, very slick & hopoily, well-carbonated. Very good double IPA.

0.33l bottle. this is a cloudy one, light burgundy-brown in color and it has a small quickly sidesticking and light bubbly off-white top. I'm also noting some big dark sediments at the bottom of the glass. On the nose it's quite fruity and a bit sweet. Sticky caramel - and lots of it with a light grassy hoppy thing in the background - also surrounded bu ripe strawberries and malt drops. The sweetness dominates. Quite nice I have to say. It's right on average carbonated and the mouthfeel is light sticky-oily. Sticky sweet caramel in the flavor balanced by a strong hoppy bitterness. Some branches and dust also, and there is also a hint of alcohol. It has what you might call a green flavor. Not to over-complicated, fresh or exciting, but still tasty. 29.11.2012

Old rating: draft @ Borefts 2012. Almost clear orange with a white head. Very hoppy nose, onion hops, pine resin, light herbs. Taste is lots of onion hops, some pine, herb, yeas touch, grapefruit. Med. body, lighter carb. not bad stuff.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy amber colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, lasting, off-white head. Hoppy aroma with a grapefruit note, underlying resinous, slightly purulent malt basis. Taste is dry to bitter hoppy, citrusy, minimally sweet caramel malty, notes of grapefruit, tangerine, bitter chicory. Fresh, citrusy, bitter and solid, though not outstanding IIPA.

Borefts Beer Festival IV. Day 2. HBC 342 version. Very hazy amber gold beer, big pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, semi dry. Some malt cream. Big skunky hops with orange citrus underneath. Finishes smooth and creamy. Really got the skunk character from these hops.
