What a fun blonde beer this is. The nose is deliciously malty. The overall flavour is fruity, with hints of sweetness and a warm alcohol glow, which tapers off into a slightly bitter finish. We launched this classic beer in 1983, making it our oldest high-fermentation beer, which is re-fermented in the bottle.

330 ml Bottle. Dark clear golden with a big white head. Aroma has some kind of sugar sweetness, fruit and yeast. Flavor is sweet, spicy, fruity and some alcohol. A bit warming alcohol aftertaste. A pleasant straight forward strong Belgium ale that’s trying to copy Duvel. Duvel is still a bit better.

Bottled at the Belgian Embassy in Oslo. Had the young mr Roman serving it, a really friendly and nice guy. The beer is golden, and unclear, with a white head. The nose is a bit weak, grassy and sweet. The flavor is more towards hay than grass, but there’s sweetness there too. A full bodied beer with a spicy finish. Decent, nothing special. I prefer the Ename series from this brewer. (070103)

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, with big white head. Fruity, slightly alcoholic and hoppy nose. Flavour is fruits, yeast, flowery hops and alcoholic. Still, it’s a good mix, even though not maybe the "best BSA".... Long fruity and hoppy aftertaste.

This is the first beer I have encountered from this brewer. Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a mildly hazy medium golden color with a huge fluffy white head. The aroma is lightly yeasty and vaguely peppery. The flavor is dry and spicy - almost peppery and has a light yeasty undertone. Fairly bland for a Belgian Strong Ale.

Bottled, Bruges 03-11-05. Golden colkour with a slight haziness not much of a head, both aroma and taste are of fruitiness and spice and a touch of citrus, some maltiness also present. A pretty good Belgian Ale.

(bottle) Hazy deep golden colour with a big foamy white head. Slightly sugary sweet malty and fruity (oranges) aroma with notes of alcohol and floral hops. Sweet flavour, medium to full body, almost lively carbonation. Moderately sweet malty, bready and orange fruity taste; quite alcoholic palate, dry malty, spicy and light bitter finish.
