Tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Orange-golden color with a high, fine head. Not of wine, sweet honey, oranges, some vinegar. Soft, sweet flavor, lemon, wine, a bit sour. Decent. Oily and silky. Somehow the taste does not live up to the nose.

Tap at Moeder Lambic. It pours hazy gold with a thick white head. The nose is peach, apricot, white grape, earth, leaf and sherbet. The taste is earth, soft fruit...apricot, peach, nectarine, lemonade, sherbet, mild acidity and some alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Pretty well balanced and easy drinking. I would have prefered a good deal more tartness, but its enjoyable nonetheless.

(Draugh at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 21 July) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, tropical fruit, honey and grapes. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, tropical fruit, honey and some citrus in the finish. More than medium body, quite sweet, with moderate bitterness. Not much sourness coming through, actually more sweet than sour. But quite a nice beer.

Draft at Moeder Lambic. Pours clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma of wort, malt and nuts. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter with very little of the expected sourness. Nasty pink candy in the palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Hazy yellow colour, white airy head. Aroma of band-aid (hansaplast), disinfectant, rotten fruit, grape peels. Flavour starts with fruity sweet grapes, but turns to rotten fruit (beurs fruit) quite quickly. Grape peel, tannins. Finish slightly alcoholic, grape pits, lots of tannic acid.
This beer seems to be too unbalanced, maybe past it’s prime.

Hand pump at Moeder Lambic, Fontainas
Cloudy deep blond color, with large creamy head. The aroma is undefined: it’s a bit skunky (maybe the first pour of the day?), some malt spice yeast and fruits. The carbonation is mostly gone; there is some yeast character, a bit spicy, with a very light touch from the wine cask, not very well defined, and very light fruits; it has medium to low bitterness; the final is just a bit drier and astringent.
Maybe not well served, anyway, nothing special.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a medium size white head that lasts and leaves decent lace. Aromas are sharp, wine, fruity esters (lots of banana), acidic, plums, light grassy notes. Flavors are of grainy wheat, lots of isoamyl acetate, orange, floral. Very lively bubbles, dry finish. Odd beer.
