On tap at Alibi. Pours dark hazy amber with a tan head. Aroma and taste are sweet, figs, some hops, caramel, dark and candied fruits. Sweet, hoppy bitter aftertaste with caramel and unexpectadly roasted malt notes. Very good.

Dark brown color, with creamy vanilla. The aroma is basic, caramel, with hints of fudge and vanilla (6.5). Full bodied, yet with a lean mouthfeel; good malt flavor, caramel, and a hint of fudge and molasses; very nutty beer, especially in the final, where also some darker caramel appears, and a tiny liquorice vein; given that, I don’t think it will improve with age, better drink fresh.
Very good, well brewed, balanced; solid offer.

2014. Dark red-brown, thick head. Aroma is deeply fruity, plums and cherries, light choc notes, sweet, with the same dark fruit notes, light choc, leather. Sugars are a bit indistinct. Warning finish with fruits getting a touch overripe. Good bw, 7 -4 - 7- 4- 15 = 3.7 2015. Dark plummy purple-brown colour, with no head. Has sort of a plummy, boozy aroma with some raisiny notes...not super complex. Very sweet, light raisin, fair bit of alcohol. Not as refined as last year, not as complex, this is sort of a sugar bomb that could probably use a blast in either a rum barrel to own that sugary sweetness or in a red wine barrel to cut it. 2 - 6 - 6 - 3 - 12 2016, aged 4 years. Dark brown, with a thin head. Big malty aroma with lots of dark fruit notes, esters, maybe some darker sugars. Soft, sweet, just a touch of alcohol for dryness. Liquified raisins. Really nice malt character. This has aged very nicely - picked a great time to crack it open. 4 - 8 - 8 - 4 - 16 = 4.0

Poured from 650mL bottle. Dark brownish amber with minimal beige head. Toffee and brown sugar with some dark pit fruits and mild hops. Balance seems ever so slightly off for the aroma. Medium+ body, alcohol has some mild prevalence.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Nose brings out deep dark fruits, caramel and toffee, brown sugar, and a little alcohol. Flavour is every bit as rich and complex, with brown sugar, dark fruits, and toffee all blended together beautiful. Everything is cohesive and despite the high ABV, there isn't any burn whatsoever. Wonderful stuff. Persephone has knocked it out of the park again.

650 ml bottle. 2014 vintage: Pours a deep mahogany color with full head. Surprising light aromas: oranges, grass, and sweet malts. Flavors of brown sugar/caramel, bready malts, orange peel, and light pine with a bit of nuttiness. Lots of carbonation. Bitter finish. Alcohol is present but not overkill (11.9% really - just under the wire?). Full, round, maybe a little too soft, but a very nice first iteration. 2015 vintage: Pours a dark brown with moderate retentive head. Aromas of sugary dark fruit, oranges, grass, raisin bread, and dry toasted malts. Flavors of brown sugar, bready malts, dry toffee, and light orange. A little more aggressive and complex than 2014. Nice, ready to drink, maybe cellar.
