Detective Saison is the first character-based beer to be introduced, amidst the dirt and weeds sullying the streets of Central City. A breath of fresh air to the city’s moral compass, Detective Saison is a smooth, dry, classic French Saison-style wheat ale, balanced with a fine malt character and a spicy attitude with the added complexity of pink peppercorns. A witty intellect, Detective Saison has an iron constitution about right and wrong and her pursuit of truth and justice is unrelenting.

Nice large head and foggy yellow body, good aromas of coriander and orange with yeastiness. Has a noce lemony coriander flavour and medium finish. A good saison, intelligently made.

Cloudy tan. Tart, quite footy/yeasty and this carries through the palate. Ok but not at all compelling.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver; 7% ABV
Hazy greenish blond color. A beer loaded with vegetables character, stronger than everything else, metallic, a bit spicy.
Unpleasant American Saison.

Draft - Light grains and a touch of banana. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Peppery, light yeasty malts and some banana. Decent but a bit boring.

650 ml bottle. Pours a light clear gold with moderate bubbly head. Aromas of Belgian yeast, light banana, and citrus, with a bit of pepper and some floral notes. Crisp clear flavors of same with additional emphasis on white pepper and spice. Simple and nice.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out farmhouse yeast, Belgian yeast, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is quite pleasant, with Belgian yeast, some farmhouse notes, and light citrus. Dry, crisp and farmhouse-y. Well-balanced and quite elegant. Surprisingly good for Central City.
