O:6.04 V:5.0 G:5.1 C:4.35 G:11.63 T:32.12

St. Augs. Hazy, no head. Dull tan. Big grapefruit, expressive nose, papaya. Pear on the palate, but it's harsh, alcoholic, still with the nice fruit notes.

From tap. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a small white head. Aroma is pine and herbal. Chlorine. Herbal and spiced. Dense bitter and herbal. Dry bitter and herbal into a solid bitter finish. Too much of everything.

A blonde DIPA with a very thin white head. In aroma, biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light alcohol warmth, OK. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with loads of bitter resinous hops, white grapefruit, alcohol warmth, OK. On tap at St Graal.

Draft - Light earthy and citrus hops with a bit of toast. Deep copper with a decent beige head. Light earthy hops, bitterness and some toasted malts. I have no idea how this is what the description read. Maybe they poured the wrong beer.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark amber to mahogany color with creamy head. Timid caramel and malt, shy hop qualities, although it has a strong bitterness level, some resins in the final. Foggy experience, not what was expected by Le Trou Du Diable, instead just an anonymous strong ale.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a dark orangey brown with a small beige head. Aroma is quite earthy and woody, not very hoppy. Flavour is similar, with earthy hops, sawdust and a dry bready malt. Strange beer - wouldn't guess that was an IPA. Not bad, but a little off the mark.
