Bottle - Toasted malts and lots of grapefruit. Deep copper with a decent white head. Lots of toast and caramel with an equal amount of grapefruit and a malty finish. Odd, but OK.

Bottle. Kind of a muddy amber-brown, and there’s a thin, frothy head. The aroma shows the herbal hop associated and there’s a lot of bitterness as well, some of that bearing a citrus rind character. Maybe a touch of burnt, but in a normal, beer-like toffeeish sort of way. Not so much influence from the pork bone charcoal...even in the appearance where you’d expect to notice a little filtration. The beer is balanced and I like the somewhat unconventional bitterness, so it’s a win for me.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark nahogany with full head. Aromas of plums, citrus and sweet malts. Flavors of toasted malts, grass, light lemon and resin. Bitter mid and finish. Quite nice.
