Bottle @ 3 Dorstige Herten Utrecht. Dark amber color. 3 years old, according to the barman. Ripe dried red fruit. Maltaroma. Hint of sherry. Has thinned but still has a majestic red berries and dried citrusfruit flavor. No alcohol noticeable. Has aged remarkably well.

Had one froom 2009, so it was three years old and it had aged a little. Complex beer with dark fruits and raisins that leaves a comfortable warm glow in your mouth. Aftertaste is long and has some smooth vanilla. Very good.

Bottle @ De drie dorstige herten, Utrecht shared by Bierkoning. Hazy opaque reddish color with some yeast particles in it, beige head. Smell malts, raisins, grapes. Taste malts, raisins, grapes, alcohol, sweetness. Pretty nicely balanced even though it’s a three year old bottle. Medium to full body and carbonation. Nice!

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Bert’s Bierhuis. Cloudy dark amber with a beige head. Fruity, yeasty aroma. Sweet taste with lots of depth: spices, fruits and some roasted malts. Alcohol is very well concealed. Nice aftertaste. Overall a good beer.

Bottle, 11%. The first whiff of the aroma is of chocolate. Then there is a sweet and fruity note with a bit of sour rag. Cloudy red copper colour. Very big stable rocky off-white head. The flavour is very sweet and fruity with a little sourness. Syrupy mouthfeel, a bit too much. Peppery aftertaste, but does not taste 11%. Perhaps better after a few years in the cellar.

Bottle at De Wildeman. Pours cloudy brown with medium tan head. Aroma is citrus, grass and sour funkiness. Flavour has a certain sourness but combined with the kind of sweetness you would get from a strong aged beer.
