Bottle, 7.0%. Mild farty aroma. Hazy dark red/brown colour, lots of floating bits. The flavour is nice and malty with some good, sweet fruit notes. Grassy hop flavour giving it a good extra dimension.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 2 Aug 2009) Dark ruby colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with dark fruit, wild berries and caramel. Malty taste with notes of dark fruit, berries, cherries, dark bread, caramel and a mildly bittersweet finish. Excellent balance. More than medium body, fairly sweet with a spicy bitterness to match. Very nice beer.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown color. Pear, malt and a hint of roast in the aroma. Malt, pear drups, licorice and some roast in the sweet flavor. Roastbitter aftertaste with nutmeg. Not bad, maybe a bit too sweet.
