For a Grimbergen, it is a really interesting beer, full of red fruits, plum, apricot, cynamon, pear, porto, hop and malt, complex. 30.04.2018, De Siebenthal at Montagny.

20.09.18 Aromat lekko octowy i słodki, słód drożdże belgijskie, troszkę winny. Drobna kremowa piana dosyć gruba długo utrzymująca się z leasingiem. kolor rubinowy przejrzyste. Smak: głownie smak słodów jakby melanoidyny oraz troszke w tle śliwka suszona. Goryczka nie ma prawie, nie ma też prawie słodyczy . Wysycenie wysokie, alkohol trochę wyczuwalny wytrawny finisz, ciało średnie tekstura trochę drapiąca

Aroma of malt, caramel, sweet and overripe dark fruits, sugar, raisins. Flavour is sickeningly sweet and alcoholic. Sticky mouthfeel. Nasty artificial aspect to it that totally ruins this beer. Overrated junk.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Clear brown brew that i have an long time not drunk. Taste of carameland some fruity hints, and an slightly burning mouthfeel.

Servida en su cáliz. Color marrón, rojizo al trasluz, corona de espuma beige cremosa bien retenida. En nariz no esta mal, salen notas de fruta madura, ciruelas, dátiles, pasas, toque de frutos secos, especialmente nuez y avellana, malta, caramelo... En boca dominan las notas de malta tostada, regaliz, caramelo, frutos secos. Es curioso, a pesar de sus 10º, y de su agradable aroma, esta cerveza no logra hacerme 'trascender' como hacen otras quadrupel, me deja mucho a deber en boca como para trasportarme a los cielos del placer. Tenía muchas ganas de volverla a probar, pues la primera optimo Bruno la caté hace casi treinta años, absolutamente impregnado en ignorancia cervecera por aquel entonces, y no la había vuelto a degustar hasta hoy...Ahora que la he vuelto a probar pienso que no pasa absolutamente nada si vuelven a pasar otros treinta años antes de volverla a beber.

A decent strong ale, very herbal, not too sweet. Lots of Candi sugar, burnt molasses, caramel. Not bad.

Brown colour, minimal head, fair lacing. Aroma is intensive blackcurrant and raspberry, some caramel. Some alcohol. Medium sweetness. Lively carbonation. Very good.
