Good roasted barley with some sweetness on the nose. Okay darker brown body with just a little head. Flavour is sharp roasted barley with spicy coffee notes. Dry finish. Quite nice, good memorable things going on.

Draft - A bit buttery with toasted malts. Deep mahogany with a beige brown head. Lots of burnt toast, chocolate and light bitterness. Not bad, but I have the feeling this is an off batch, I have had better.

Draught at Raven Pub, North Vancouver
Black color, creamy head. Ashes and burnt malt aroma. Quite smooth mouthfeel; strong chocolate, burnt malt and coffee flavor; dry middle and final; correct bitterness. Simple but well balanced, and luckily the burnt component is not too disturbing in the final.
