Crafting a brew that brings together the classic flavours of a full bodied India Pale Ale and our Pumpkin Ale resulted in our newest IPA - Jumping Jack India Pumpkin Ale. This unique brew displays classic aromas and flavours of citrus and grapefruit that marry seamlessly with the flavours from real pumpkins used in the mash. Full bodied and dry, with a snappy bitterness, combined with subtle pumpkin pie spice and a clean finish make it a perfect fall brew. We hope you enjoy our new interpretation of an IPA as much as we enjoy brewing it.

Dark copper pour, medium beige head. Spicy nose, nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamon, with some grassy hops. Finish is quite bitter, with alot of spice. Not sure i like this combo is these two styles.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Cloudy copper brown with beige head. Pumpkin and nutmeg with citrus hops. Interesting, but flavours don’t meld that well.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of bitter hops with some caramel malt with some very distant notes of pumpkin pie. Taste is also dominated by bitter hops notes with some light sweet caramel malt notes. Body is lighter than expected with good carbonation. Spice notes are too subtle to really register and hops profile isn’t that interesting.

Bottle from Central City. Hazy amber. Aroma is balanced - pumpkin, earthy hops, light biscuity malts. Light bitterness, light pumpkin, nice biscuity character.

On tap at Tap & Barrel Coal Harbour, pours a clear golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of pumpkin pie and pumpkin spices, with a hoppy undertone. Flavour is much the same, but with a syrupy artificial quality to it. Not terrible but certainly not very sophisticated. Weird beer.

Bottle from the LCBO. Cloudy deep orange brown with a small tan head that fades slowly to a sheet. Nose is roasted malts and toffee with some citrus and a good dose of allspice. Light sweet beginning quickly replaced with a medium bitter middle of grapefruit and spice with a crisp dry finish. Mouth is medium with average carbonation. OK, but I need to stop buying pumpkin beers just because it is autumn.
