DARK & CRISP | Pours an opaque dark brown colour with a creamy tan head. Balanced flavours of toasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. Medium-bodied on the palate with a crisp and clean finish. Pairs well with hearty meats, BBQ, sausage, and those “treat-yourself moments.”

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy beige head. The aroma was dry and roasty with coffee and a hint of smoke. The flavor was bitter, roasty, woody, smokey and dry. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Looking like cola with a dark brown colour, a big frothy beige head that lasts a while, giving some nice creamy lacing. Nice aromas of roasted malts, chocolate notes, molasses hints and dark fruits. The taste is also roasted malts, mostly. Mild coffee and nuttiness. Very easy to drink like a Schwarzbier should be. Quite a nice one.

The local craft at Canyon Creek. It's got that dusty malt that comes with a certain kind of malt that I've run across a few time, but it not bad. Sweet malt, mild dustiness, mild chocolate. It's ok.

1 Pint at a restaurant in Niagara On The Falls. Pitch black in the glass, small head. Choco and dark malt on the nose. Taste starts with a lot of choco and roasted malt. Hints of vanilla. Smooth. Increasing choco in the second part. Decent hop in the background but present. Really nice.

Bottle from the brewery. Dark mahogany pour under a small tan head that fades quickly to a sheet and leaves some sparse lace.Nose is roasted malts, chocolate, molasses, light coffee, a touch of vanilla and hints of dark fruit. Light sweet molasses with a more pronounced chocolate bitterness with lots of roast and hints of smoke. Mouth is medium with a nice dry finish and average carbonation. Quite enjoyable. 8+/4/7+/3+/16-

Draft - Light roast malts and some pale malt sweetness. Deep brown with a nice beige head. Roast malts, vegative bitterness and almost a bit of farmhouse and manure in the finish. Toasty roast or toffee sweetness is not there. Odd long light bitter finish.

A dark brown lager with a thick brown head. In aroma, nice grassy chocolate with herbal hops. In mouth, a nice grassy chocolate with light herbaceous hops, well made.

This lager poured a deep black colour with a short living, tan colour head. To the nose there are scents of molassass, burnt malts, earth and a little chocolate and coffee. First sip was roasty and delicious with flavours of roasty malts, coffee and very light hint of cocoa. Finish is burnt and flavourful.
