Our Hop Ottin’ IPA is brewed and dry-hopped with copious amounts of Columbus and Cascade. This beer is a showcase of the bright citrusy aromas, bold grapefruit and pine-like flavors, and resiny bitterness that hop heads crave. With a brilliant, deep amber color and solid malt backbone, hints of citron, roses, and bergamot peak with a dry, herbal finish in this well-balanced interpretation of a West Coast IPA.

On tap at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam on 20th March 2016. Hazy amber with thick off-white foam and full lacing. Intense scented biscuit malt and floral hop aromas. Citric hop and nuttiness in-mouth. A grassy, hoppy finish, with echoes of the earlier biscuit maltiness. Fair-bodied with a zingy mouthfeel. Delicious.

Pours a rather murky, golden brown, with middling head that dissipates rapidly. Lots of fruit and grassy hops in the aroma. Flavor is quite sweet, with a ton of fruit--tropical and citrus. Pretty well-balanced. Smooth finish.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 8/26/2015. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

BOTTLE 12 OZ. Almost clear dark amber, creamy beige head. Lots of caramel in the nose, just a shadow of hops. Tastes just as sweet and malty, light fruity notes and a pretty big grassy and piney bitterness. Sticky mouth feel.

Can. Orange/peach malt and tinny grapefruit peel aroma. Golden yellow with huge head. Very sweet orange/apricot, caramel malt, and moderately strong bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Decent body. A bit too sweet with harsh hop flavor.
