A Classic since 1987
Balance is what makes our Boont Amber Ale so unique: rich, crystal malts give this beer a deep copper hue and contribute a slight caramel sweetness while the herbal, spicy bitterness from carefully selected whole-cone hops impart a crisp, clean finish. Hints of sun toasted grain, toffee, and fruity esters compliment the mellow, noble hop aroma.

Re-rating (previous 6.8) Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 19A). Can 35.5 cl - Batch 945/89w (BB: unreadable). AROMA: medium malt aroma with a caramel-like note. slight toastiness. medium-low to low hop aroma with oxidized notes (dried grass, slight isovaleric). APPEARANCE: amber color and clear with very fine particles in suspension. Average ivory head with medium-low retention. TASTE: medium-low malty flavor (caramel-like, slight toastiness). medium-low oxidized hop notes (isovaleric - cheese, dried grass) and medium-low bitterness with a medium-dry finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with moderate carbonation. OVERALL: an american amber ale showing signs of oxidation. demands re-tasting.

Draft. An ok pale ale, sort of dark and the caramels were unusual, one gllass was more than enough for me though.
