Jet black, brown head. Great roasted malt aroma with good dark, burnt coffee notes and some slight cocoa. The mouthfeel is a little thin for an oatmeal stout. The finish is solid, good bitterness, but the majority of the flavors drop off except for some light roast.

Can from the LCBO listing 5% ABV. Pours a dark brown, almost black colour with very little highlights. The head is creamy, bubbly, long lasting with some nice dirty lacing. Chocolate malt aromas with hints of coffee and roasted malts. The taste is mildly sweet from the oatmeal, over the roasted malts, chocolate and coffee notes. Decent Oatmeal Coffee Stout but nothing too exceptional.

Bottle - Oatmeal, dark chocolate and some coffee. Jet black with a small beige head. Oatmeal and coffee roast with a long roasty finish. Decent.

(Cask at Victory Cafe, Oct 5 2013) Poured black with a ring of tan bubbles. Aroma relatively faint, chocolate, some roast, not much coffee. Flavour had chocolate, roast coffee, some slight dark fruit, slight roasted malt. Finish was fairly dry, bitter, roast coffee. Mouthfeel watery, not rich like an oatmeal stout should be, maybe the cask wasn’t at its best but this was unobjectionable and uninspiring.

A dark brown stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light grassy notes, coffee, OK. In mouth, a watery coffee stout with grassy and celery notes, OK. Cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2013.

A bit of a nutty, coffee aroma and a fairly average taste. Not bad by any means but doesn’t stand out too much. The oatmeal is faint in the smell and taste, but it lurks in here somewhere. On cask at volos

This oatmeal stout poured a deep black colour with a beautiful, light brown, creamy head. To the nose there are scents of coffee, cocoa, roasted malt and cream. First sip was smooth and very coffee flavourful. Other flavours of cocoa, caramel and burnt toast aswell. Finish was very roasty with coffee flavours lingering forever.
