A Classic since 1987
Balance is what makes our Boont Amber Ale so unique: rich, crystal malts give this beer a deep copper hue and contribute a slight caramel sweetness while the herbal, spicy bitterness from carefully selected whole-cone hops impart a crisp, clean finish. Hints of sun toasted grain, toffee, and fruity esters compliment the mellow, noble hop aroma.

330ml bottle from Saveur-Biere.fr. Pours hazy amber. Sweet caramel / malt aroma. Taste is decent enough. Clean, sweetish go-to amber feel. Not a lot else to say I’m afraid.

Pours a slightly hazy amber color, topped with average sized off-white head, quickly diminishing. Malty aroma, caramel with notes of dried fruits. Taste is sweet, quite some caramel slightly biscuity. Mild bitterness in the finish, with sweet malty aftertaste (gentle).

Old rating. Bottle from old town. Pours a copper brown with a modest off white head. Notes of caramel, brown sugar and toasted malts. Tastes more of the same. Slightly swee with a medium creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium, split with Andrew. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white head. Light lacing. Aroma of fudge and toffee. Flavour of fig roll, mushy red apple and caramel. Medium body with a powdery texture. Soft fizz. Pretty good, but nothing particularly memorable or moreish.
