Our flagship beer, Loose Cannon wins people over at first smell. The carefully cultivated interplay of Simcoe, Palisade, and Centennial creates a most fragrant IPA - its nose bursts with notes of grapefruit, herbs, and pine. Bitterness is somewhat subdued by the floral quality that pervades the taste. The color is burnished gold, and the mouthfeel is creamy. A strong malt backbone balances out the triple-hopped beer. Its nickname, Hop3, comes from the brewing process: our brewers hop Loose Cannon in the boil, the hopback, and the fermenter. It won a second place CAMRA award at the 2010 Great British Beer Festival.

In a word, hoptastic. This was the last beer I had tonight at Sunswick and I can certainly say that I ended on a high note. Nice golden body with a crisp white head. Hoppy flavor with notes of caramel and pine. The menagerie of hops put into this beer is evident in its complexity. A great brew for the hop-heads out there.

Bottle. Slightly hazy rich amber beer with a light tan head. Light grapefruit and light caramel aroma. Caramel and grapefruit flavor with light summer fruits. Medium bodied. Lower bitterness for an IPA. Caramel lingers with grapefruit and light pine.

Bottle via a trade with hopdog. Pours with a small, off-white head over a hazed orange body. Good lace. Aroma of herbal and sticky hops, caramel and exotic fruits. Taste is herbal hops with toasted bread and passion fruit. Slightly fizzy mouthfeel and on the watery side of things.

Bottle: Light orange / small white head. Lots of grapefruit up front and citrus. Sweet and fruity. Tastes fruity with more citrus and maintains a wet hopped feel. Bitters and sweet fruitiness. Light florals. Thanks Matt!

12 oz bottle. Pours light amber with a small white head. Aroma is strong grapefruit hops with a slight sweet caramel scent. Flavor is grapefruit and floral hops mainly, again with hints of sweet caramel. Flavor could stand to be a little stronger. A pretty good IPA.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Orange and pine in the aroma, as well as a good maltyness. Balanced flavor with malts and hops. Citrus, pine, resin and a good bitterness. Full-bodied. Lasting, rather bitter finish with pine and citrus. A quite nice one, easy to drink and not pushing the limits. (080412)

Bottle pours out a amber topped with a off white cream head. A very nice hop on the nose. Tast of sweet hops with a touch of bitterness. A Nice IPA.
