Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light coffee notes with some medium black chocolate bitter notes also discernable. Taste is a mix between some medium dry black chocolate notes with some light roasted malt notes which is well round off by some oat notes. Body is a bit light for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not bad overall but a bit too thin for style while lacking some character. I also don’t get the Belgian yeast part of this beer.

Wasn’t sure what they meant at first by Belgian imperial stout but I can see it after a taste. There’s some floral hops that creeps out of the taste. Unfortunately it seems to come at the cost of doing a proper imperial stout. By that I mean the taste of roast or smoked malt is hard to detect here. The hops give a floral leave. Pours black with great lacing. Some bitterness in leave as well. On tap at volos.

A dark brown stout with reddish hues and a thick brown head. A pungeant chocolate aroma with light fruity esters, dunkel like, very nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet chocolate with loads of bananas and berries, light cloves, chocolate notes, not a stout really but still a good offering. Bottle from brewery, shared with Inertiaboy, Diogene, Mike H. and GRM.
