Our Firewalker Smokey Porter pours near black and is complimented by a silky like tan head. A subtle smokey beechwood aroma gives way to palate coating chocolate & coffee-like notes. Finishing hops give balance to this porter with medium earthy bitter goodness.

Draft - Dark smoke malts, woody and dark fruit. Jet brown with a rich beige head. Up front smoke, tempered nicely with chocolate and sweetness. Very nice finish, well done.

Dark brown with a golden accent. Aroma is very smoky, with some milk chocolate malts. Rich deep smoke lingers, coating the tongue. The thick dark malts are a great foil. The finish is a touch thin and that gives it more of a burnt coda. The smoke lingers a while ...I appreciate a smoked porter that isn’t dumbed down.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Dark brown with tan head. Mild roast malt and chocolate with hint of smoke. I get all the flavours, but would agree with others in saying it’s thin. Lack overall complexity and cohesion.

650 ml bottle. Pours a gusher with the loss of a quarter of the bottle. Minus points... Pours a dark brown with full head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of peat and burnt garbage. Flavors of cola, heavily smoked malts, hickory smoked bacon and hints of dark fruit. Basic smokey stuff.

On tap at the Alibi Room for the 500th beer list, pours a deep dark amber / black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out black pepper and light smoked malt. Flavour is similar, with black pepper, smoked malt, and cocoa. Well-balanced, not too smoked, and not too peppery, finishing on chocolatey notes. Not really my style, but it's certainly well-made for what it is.

Dark brown color, almost black. Delicate aroma of smoke, fire wood, roasted malt. Dry mouthfeel; roasted malt, some caramel, some smoke, correct bitterness. Good but not impressive.

Very dark color, almost black, with mahogany shades on the edges, and with small creamy head. The aroma of roasted malt and campfire/smoke is delicate and harmonious. The mouthfeel is smooth, quite round too, although the ashes provide some dryness; good roasted malt flavor, chocolate, smoke; bready; it has light sourness from the dark malts. The burnt/ash character is well under control.
Very good, well brewed.
