4 oz sample glass at the 8th Wonder Brewery in Houston, Texas. The pour is a clear golden brown with an off white head. The aroma is malt, grass and some clove yeast. The taste is clean bread malt, grass along with traditional Alt yeast to the back. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and a dry grass yeast finish.

Draft - Not a big fan of the style, but this one was easy drinking and clean with a nice bitterness that keeps it interesting.

Location: Draft at BRC Gastropub, 12/5/13

Aroma: The nose is on-style for sure, caramel malt, a bit grainy, and some nice hop notes as well
Appearance: It pours a deep caramel-amber color with a decent sized head
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, with a nice malty presence, as well as nice balancing hop
Palate: The body is medium, it has a nice, clean mouthfeel, and a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: I actually thought that this one was a really impressive Alt. It is one of the better examples of the style that I can recall right now. This is just a plain old enjoyable beer.
