On tap at the farm. Nice deep red body and a bit of foam on top. Soft sweet amber malts on the nose. Flavour is crisp amber malts with some vegetable hops on the back end. Nice and dry mouthfeel. Not bad at all, though not too exciting either.

On tap. Pours a hazy red-amber with a medium, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of grapefruit, pine and caramel malt with a hint of roast. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, bread, light roast, grapefruit, pine and grass with a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Not bad.

bottle. Red chestnut, brown foam. Fresh hop (pine,grass/herbs) and light tart berry aroma. Slightly roasted, light meloinidin, biscuit malt, a bit fruit, good broad hop profile going from a grassy bitter start to varied citric aromatic notes. Pine, roast and citrus aftertaste. Really nice.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out syrupy caramel malts, sugar sweetness and maybe some piney hops. Flavour reveals a well-balanced amber ale, beginning with a big caramel malt backbone (thankfully not cloying as the nose suggests), bready notes, and transitioning to a strong piney hop finish that lingers. Well-balanced, but feels a tad rough as though everything doesn't jive perfectly. Still, good hop-forward amber.

650 bottle. Pours a darkish mahogany with light head. Aromas of soap powder and pine. Flavors of burnt malts, resin, and pine. Odd and rough, sweet and bitter combo. Maybe best paired with a meaty pasta sauce, but not a separate sipper.

Dark mahogany color with compact head. Strong aroma of caramel and hops. Smooth mouthfeel; there is just a light residual sugar presence; strong caramel aroma; hops are powerful, very bitter and resiny, with limited citrus fruit / orange contribution; actually the final is too bitter, a bit dusty and astringent too.
Brutal red ale, not an example of elegance.
