Slightly hazy yellow, pour, with a small white head. Crisp, clean, spruce and pine sap notes. Light toasty cereals. Refreshing.

Sampled in a 5 oz taster from a cask at Henry House in Halifax a few days past. It showed copper-gold in color with a white skim surviving across the top. The drink was initially somewhat hoppy followed by grass and grain. Some bitterness with a decent lacing action. It is what it is, a mild pale ale. Inoffensive.

473ml can. Pours a clear amber gold with a small, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Mild, sweet aroma of grainy caramel malt, honey, lemon zest and herbal hops. Sweet flavour of grainy caramel malt, honey, orange zest, green tea, grass and light piney hops in a dry, bitter finish. Light body with a slick texture and average carbonation. Interesting.

Nice citrus and light tropical fruit in the background, somewhat bitter, probably about as close to an IPA as you can get and still be a pale ale. Good beer.

Sampled from the tap at Maxwell’s Plum. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has grass and light pine with a grain backbone. Flavor has some grains with light pine and grass plus a hint if citrus.

Bottle from my sister. An orange-amber color with a thin beige head. Citrus and tea aroma with a briny cinnamon accent. The taste is malty, citrus zest, some earthy tea notes and a bit bitter in the finish. Alright.
