Our buddy Phil is a friend of good beer, so Phil’s Pils must be impressive ode to good taste. Thankfully (Phil would say) it’s the polar opposite of most Pilsners available today. Brewed using two-row pale, melanoidin, and crystal malts, this lager is chock full of malty goodness on top of German Hallertau and Czech Saaz hops. This brew is also dry hopped with a blend of Mount Hood and more Saaz. Our Pils actually tastes like malt & hops – what a novel idea! Try it with a slow smoked rack of ribs or a wedge of Pepper Jack cheese. Serve at 6 C. in a Pilsner glass. Unfiltered.

Bottle shared by fred82, thanks!
Great grassy, hay hop aroma with a good dose of cereal malts.
Light hopiness to follow with more good cereal, bready malts. Light bitter finish, quite dry, but very refreshing. Good pils!

Bottle: Hazy gold with a small white head. Lemon, barley scent. Flavour is pretty solid pils malt, grain, lemon.. Slight pils/herb bittering. A nice, full-flavoured pilsner.

Highly carbonated, big frothy white head. Two malts really shine. I can tell this is a Canadian brew. Nice Saaz hops in the nose with some buscuity malts. Well balanced. Firm dry finish. Essentially a well made dry hoppy pils. Nice.

12oz bottle pours a transparent, slightly hazy gold with a thin, creamy white head. Nose is sweet, malty, light yeast, light honey. Flavor is sweet, light lemon juice, grass, malty, a little honey. Finish is light and slightly watery. A little nondescript.

A hzy golden amber pils with a thick creamy and lacing white head. Lightly bready malt with nice notes of Saaz hops, some metal notes. In mouth, a good crisp malt with lightly resinous hops, a bit of grapefruits, more British like hops. Overall, quite nice, given I’m a hophead. Medium bodied.Bottle from Piscator32, thanks Kris!

Bottle courtesy of Piscator 34: Poured a deep golden color pils with a nice medium foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of crisp hops and floral malt is quite sublime. Taste is a well balance mix between some floral malt and some light dry (maybe a tad too dry) crisp hops which provides a very refreshing taste. Body is quite full for the style with some good carbonation and nice creamy texture. Very well done and something that I would love to have more often in the summertime.
