Deep copper coloured body with a thinnish off-white head, showing a bit of a hazy note. Aroma of light hops and grain with a touch of caster sugar and toffee, but not much else going on here. Medium-bodied; Strong caramel and toffee flavours at first with a good deal of alcohol and pit fruits and not much other complexities, but the malt hits hard. Aftertaste finally shows the smallest amount of hops with hardly any bitterness and a smooth sweetness at the tail end - this isn’t an IPA is it? Overall, poor for the style for sure, and only slightly better than a typical APA or Amber Ale - this isn’t good and I’m glad I drank it here and didn’t bring it back East. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Crosstown Liquor Store in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 07-June-2015 for CA$7,00 sampled in my hotel room a day later on 08-June-2015 and glad I didn’t schlep it across Canada and the USA to drink back in DC.

Cloudy amber/brown. Thin head. Aroma is woody, biscuity malts, bit yeast maybe a touch of phenol. Yeasty finish, bit duller than I would like.

Bottle - Tropical fruit, mango, lychee and some grass. Light clear copper with a thick off white head. Orange and malts up front with a resinous bitterness the dominates and ends with a bit of alcohol burn in the throat. Nice beer, but the finish is a bit too much.

Nice light pale ale with some piney bitterness. Pours clear orange, some lacing. A little sour, some bitterness. A little malt in aroma as well. On tap at brewpub.

Light amber brown color. Minerally, apples and grapefruit nose that is very dry. Big hoppy, full on hop assult, moderate malty backbone. Dry hoppy finish. Somewhat astringent finish. Very big, not subtle. Great IPA. One of the best I’ve had from a Canadian brewery.

Bottle. Classic peach/apricot hop aroma. Cloudy (light gray) yellow with a low white head. Yeast was on the decline in my bottle (month before BB), light autolysis, leafy hops, nice aromatic notes. Medium body, dry mouthfeel.Completely fresh I am sure this was a super beer, I only got its shadow.

Cloudy amber.small fast fading head. Light hop nose. Watery profile, medium hop finish.Basically hoppy water, no malt presence A poor effort from a brewery that used to be very good.

Bottle from Central City Liquor Store, Surrey
Cloudy orange-amber color, with small head. Nice hop fruity aroma, with some apricot and oranges, and a light cheesy hint. Good mouthfeel, not too dry nor too chewy, with good toffee flavor; the hop is strong, partially resiny and earthy; the final is long.
I usually prefer fresher and fruitier IPAs, but this one too has a character, solid and very good.
