Our take on the classic German hefeweizen style. Bright yellow with lots of haze, this refreshing wheat beer was dry-hopped with Amarillo and Simcoe to create citrusy aromatics alongside classic banana notes. Effervescent with a pleasing dry finish.
Pilot versions were called "Hoppy Hefeweizen". [Edit: Versions have been released using German yeasts and American yeasts but are not generally differentiated other than at Volo Sunsplash event and therefore should both be rated here. - jercraigs]

500mL bottle, courtesy of beerhugger (thanks Steve), pours a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is oxidized, with faint notes of wheat and citrus. Flavour brings out cardboard, wheat and faded banana. This is way past its prime. Would've been good, but this is too old.

A murky blonde weizen with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, a nice fragrant hopped up banana weizen wirh light sulfur, catty floral hops, very nice. In mouth, a smooth fragrant weizen with fruity esters, grassy catty hops, well balanced.

Nice original beer here. Follows the whole white ipa trend and does a better job than most i’ve tried so far. Pours cloudy password good lacing and head. Citrus hops on nose with some florals and yeast. Lively carbonation. Finishes slightly bitter with an almost minty tang. On tap at Bellwoods.

This Hefe poured a light yellow color, very cloudy. Scents include pineapple (citrus), dough and bread. First sip was a little thin feeling but not in a bad way. Flavors of citrus and grass most predominant. Finish is citrus juicy!

Draft - Hay, lemon, honey and a little farmhouse funk. Hazy yellow with a thin white head. Crazy hops and the sweetness of the yeast remind me of a Deschutes experimental I once had. Love it completely.
