A dark rich fruity porter. Lots of dark fruity notes upfront, with a rich bitter cocoa base, amd some solid coffee aromas. The carb is soft, and the mouthfeel a little viscous. The flavor is a little on the sweet side with some light bittering in the end. The finish is all dark roasted malts, with subtle fruits, some plums, and figs. Solid.

Sitting on the couch with my new little lad, after a satisfying family lunch of homemade mac and cheese. A black pour with just a scant ring of head. A nose of rich roasted malts with coco and coffee. Taste of heavily roasted malts, with a underlying sweetness that hints of dates, also persistent espresso and high coco chocolate bitterness.

Draught at Bellwoods Brewery in Toronto. Rich dark pour. Tan head. Aroma not too strong - standard porter. Taste is very rich and deep - pleasant bitterness with caramel maltiness. Bigger, but fairly normal, porter. Good. Would get again.

500mL bottle (mine says the ABV is 8.5%), sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours black with a small beige head. Nose brings out dry cocoa, lots of roasted malt, and small hint od dried dark fruits. Flavour brings out roasted malts upfront, followed by some dry cocoa powder. Very robust flavour profile, more so than usual for a porter. Great silky body, with high drinkability. Excellent stuff.

This porter pored a deep black colour with a big, beautiful tan coloured head. To the nose there are scents of caramel, cocoa, anis and molasses. First taste was creamy and somewhat sweet with flavours of caramel, light coffee, little cocoa and sweet dark malts. Finish is thick and sweet with burnt flavours lingering...

Draught at the brewpub; 7.7% ABV
Black color with small beige head. Mild aroma of roasted malt, maybe coffee; quite nice. Good roasted malt and chocolate flavor, with hints of coffee and a trace of liquorice; some residual sweetness.
Too much coffee for a true Baltic Porter, but still a good beer.
