Cloudy dirty straw. Thick head. Fruity hop aroma does have a pineapple accent and a hint of pale malt. Quite bitter and lightly fruity, with barely any malt. Austere, nice and dry, and I like the way the pineapple juice comes through the finish.

Victory Cafe, Toronto tap: Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma is citrus, pine, but I didn’t really get any pineapple in the nose. Beer is indeed unbalanced to the hops, although the hops are not particularly bitter. There is some sweetness, but it is pretty mild. This was very easy to drink and pleasurable to drink as well. It is also somewhat a strange beer. I am really happy with the attenuated malt.

This has some serious aroma, serious taste. It’s not the most bitter IPA but it has presence and character. Heavy floral hops senses. Overpriced however, and not quite as good as smashbomb or mad tom. On tap at Stout Irish Pub.

A golden amber ale with a thick creamy lacing off white head. In aroma, a nice fruity biscuitty malt with nice floral hops, resinous and fragrant. In mouth, a smooth sweet malt with tropical fruits, floral hops, lichee pulp, very nice. On tap at C’est What, Oct. 29 2011
