The aroma is similar to a Barley Wine, and some fruity caramel; it’s not as sweet, but the flavor too is getting more Barley Wine style than Imperial Stout, the mouthfeel is thin, the final is weak, it has some caramel flavor, a bit stale.
Clumsy brew, despite the age.

Bottle - Boozy, a bit of ripe fruit and some roasted dark malt. Clear mahogany with no head. Malty with some wisps of chocolate and dark fruit. Very light, almost an amber. Thin and light on the palate. I have no Idea how they can call this a Chocolate Imperial Stout.

750 ml swing top bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with light head of big bubbles. Aromas of burnt sugar. Flavors of burnt sugar, rubber, resin, and toasted malts. Quite carbonated. WTF is right. Not sure what this is, but an extra point for the bottle which I can reuse.

750mL bottle, pours a clear dark reddish amber with a small beige head - WTF? This is an impie stout? Aroma of light cocoa, perfume and some light fruitiness - smells like a 5% amber ale. Flavour tastes like one too. How the hell can you market this as an imperial chocolate stout? It's not “imperial” by any judge of flavour; it doesn't have chocolate in it; and you'd have to be an idiot to call it a stout. There's some light fruitiness, maybe some slight hint of cocoa-like quality, but it's extremely weak. I wish this was a joke, but apparently the brewery are serious. Pretty fucking embarrassing, both in their marketing efforts and in the product. Crap.
