Originally rated April 2009. Came in a case of 12 at The Beer Store, noticed it on a wall advertisement. Seems like the big thing for macros to do this summer of 2009... witbiers. Pours a cloudy golden-orange colour with lots of big bubble carbonation. The head is white, medium-sized, disappears quickly enough but leaves decent lace. The aroma is pretty malty, until the brew breaths and then some citrus scent appears. Refreshing mouthfeel, watery and slightly fizzy. The taste is boring, with most of it being corn. No orange zest and coriander tasted. Again, made for the mass market, who thinks they are drinking a sophisticated beer... but they’re not.

Hazy blond color. Light apple aroma. Weak beer, with light spices, banana and apple; bitter but weak final. Forgettable.

Bottled, from HongKong. Hazy golden, creamy head. Juicy lemon mingles with soap and fruity lager like aroma. Sweet and fruity with clean mouthfeel and medium body. Some wheaty/lemony spicyness, but no bitterness. Reminiscent of the new wave of macro-wheats from InBev breweries in Russia, Ukraine and other eastern European countries.

Bouteille 341ml. De couleur dorée et légèrement voilée. Léger nez de levures fruitées (léger agrumes, traces de bananes), léger d’épices (coriandre, traces de clou de girofle) avec des notes de grains de malt pâle sucrés, de pain et de houblon herbeux. Mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-bas et une texture aqueuse et aux notes crémeuses. Moyen-léger goût de levures fruitées (agrumes, petites notes de bananes) accompagné d’un léger goût épicé (coriandre) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un léger goût de pain et de grains de malt p¸ales sucrés avec des petites traces de miel puis en finale l’on retrouve des notes amères de houblon herbeux (herbes et gazon mouillés). Post-goût court-moyen, aux notes amères de houblon herbeux avec des notes de levures fruitées (zest d’agrumes, petites notes de pelures de bananes).

Looks way better than it tastes. Pours an opaque, golden colour. Mouthful is watery and quite bland, but just drinkable.

A hazy godlen ale witj a thick creamy collapsing head. Aroma of citrus and ashy bananas. In mouth, a rather strong adjunct laced malt with light spices, very cloying overall. Can from LCBO, 2.25$.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a small bubbly head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of light spices with some weird adjunct crap and no real notes of wheat. Taste is also dominated by some crap adjunct with some very faint wheat and subtle spices at the end. Body is a bit thin with some average carbonation. This is a real shame that they have dumbed down a easily accessible style.

473 ml can from garthicus. Nose of wheat, a hint of spice, and a vegtal note. Cloudy yellow with a big yellowish head. Flavor has a light banana note, yeast, and a clove hint. Actually tastes much better than it smells.
