Rusty Red is a rich, malty Red Ale using Vienna grain. Hints of roast cap-off a bready finish on this fantastic beer.

Cherry, nutty toffee malt, and dry hay aroma. Dark chestnut brown with moderate tan head. Moderately sweet nutty toffee malt, and moderately bitter/astringent hay flavor. Good body. Pretty good.

12oz bottle on 30th June 2017 at The Crown Inn, Oakengates. Red hue to the amber body, white topping. Malty nose with hedgerow fruits/berries hanging around. Taste is similar to the aroma, semi-sweet maltiness with red berries in the flavour. Decent.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a deep amber, large white head. Aroma is soft malt and berry fruit. Taste is light, smooth caramel, vanilla and berries. A little sweeter than anticipated, but still an enjoyable amber.

Clear red beer with a thin filmy head. A bit of fruit and some caramel in the smell. A touch drier than I expected in the taste. Same qualities as the aroma but there’s a touch of bitter hop in there too and a sharp feeling on the tongue.

12 ounce bottle from Badger in Beloit. Pours a hazy brown color with a medium sized offwhite head. Decent head retention. Toffee and caramel malts with some earthiness and strawberry like fruits. The taste is earthy and nutty with caramel and a lightly hopped finish. Medium bodied. Tasty.

Pour is a red with a small white head. Aroma is malts, maybe. Not much there. Flavor is again a little roasted malt but nothing else. Hops are a no show. This got boring real fast.

Bottle. Deep amber body with a diminishing off-white head. Aroma of vinegar, sour apple, grain, toffee and caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly tart. The finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter and moderately tart. Medium body with a chalky texture and moderate carbonation. Between the vinegary aroma and taste and the chalky mouthfeel, this beer is less than enjoyable.

From Skyview. Cloudy brown color. Dry malt flavor and very light hop aroma. Dry, bitter finish 4/2/4/2/11.- rerate July 3, 2011. Much better. Surprisingly thick palate. Dry and malty, lightly roasted, I can taste some carmel now. This is a good session beer. Nearly opaque, light brown color.
