Can at El Rey Burrito Lounge, Montgomery. Fruity aroma with plenty of tropical fruits, grapefruit, orange, some malt and plenty of pine resin. Hazy but no NEIPA, which is refreshing in this day and age. Bitter flavour with ample sweetness. Such a lovely IIPA, lots of hops, fruit and pine.

So, I get this can of beer from chalet and it says drink fresh and do not age, wtf? Well the date code is so f 'd up I can't tell if its fresh or not, get with it TERRY! Here is what the date code says - the x's mean I can't read it: xxxxx13/18/23; 10xxxxxxxxxxxx.34.37. How about you interpret that bullshit? Well, any who.....It pours rather thick and viscous, Smell is mild industrial IPA perfume. Cloudy, pale beer. Has a half inch head. Stomps my taste buds below the clouds. Certainly does not get my head above the clouds, it just ruins and roto-tills my taste buds till death do you part. So, this cumulus lupulus, is it a new stupid ass cross of some kinda new hop variety? Yes mouth coating but it does have a tad of fine co2 hiding in thar. Over the top and way more than a typical lager lover could endure. Terribly on style but probably more like a stronger IPA, not a double. From my relative point of view its a little more enjoyable than most well made impeez.

Can. Earthy pine, grapefruit peel, orange, and biscuit malt aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet citrus, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter/dank pine and grapefruit flavor. Nice balance. Good I2PA. --- Beer merged from original tick of Terrapin Cumulus Lupulus on 19 Aug 2018 at 18:52 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5. Can: Grapefruit nose, with canataloupe hints. Hazy amber, medium head, nice lace. Yeasty mushroom, honey, cantaloupe, grapefruit. Full body, easy carbonation.

12 ounce can. Honey gold color topped by a large rocky beige head. Fruity malt nose hints at mango and passionfruit. Juicy, tropical fruit notes upfront. Notes of kiwi, mango, pineapple and tangerine. A bit boozy in middle. Bittersweet, piney hop finish.

Pour is a hazy gold with a huge white head. Aroma is a pine sap hop with some white sugar sweetness. Flavor is pine and weed resin with again a large sweetness that stuck around after the swallow. Decent hop profile but a bit too sweet to give it a better score.

Excellent pine sap and citrus aroma. Pours an amber color. Flavor is full-on pine tree and citrus hop bitterness.

Nice dry DIPA, firm in its bitterness yet subtly sweet, with a resinous pine base and moderate citrus notes. Toasted grain and caramel help offset the deeply bitter hops, yet this beast keeps up the IBUs with a long, clingy finish. Tasty.

12oz can pours a clear orange with some sticky, swirling white head. Nose is big, orange and grapefruit, heavy pine, candle, heavy pine. Flavor is bitter with pine and soap, candy, honey, big bitter citrus. Quite sweet on the finish, bitter, but full bodied with the sweetness.
