In PRIM we combined the sweet, juicy flavors of plums with the uniquely sweet and savory spice of cardamon to create a rich sour beer. Barrel-aged with our base sour ale, you can expect to find plum flavors with hints of grape coupled with a tart cardamon spice character. Light pinkish and yellow hues when poured, fruit and funk aromas, and layers of flavor and spice make this one of our most complex sours yet.

Bottle. A- Plum, cardamom, herbal, tart. A- Dull purple color, cloudy liquid, off white head. T- Plum, herbal, cardamom, faint grape, slightly tart. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Definitely the bets plum beer I've had and I love cardamom. Nicely balanced with a blend of sweet, tart, and savory. Good stuff and refreshing.

Bottle, bb 4/23 (WInes on Poath). Importer's label says ABV is 6% - it would be illegal to sell it here without a truthful statement of ABV. Opaque greyish red with a white head. Lots of cardamom in the aroma as well as crackery dough and vague stone fruit. Much more plummy upon a taste and the cardamom - which was maybe a little excessive in the aroma - is pushed a little into the background. A bit of that generic purple grape flavour. Soft texture with moderate sourness and some twiggy spices at the end. Good stuff.

Pours very hazy pinkish purple (mauve) with a small off white head. The aroma is sour and funky with plums and other dark fruit. The flavor is tart with plums and a subdued herbal spiciness. This is very tasty.

Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Opaque, deep rose pink. Fine, pale pink head is lasting and semi lacing. Nose has ripe dark plum and prune. Light, fruity spice. Touch of rose water. Soft vanilla oak character. Bit of a Bakewell tart thing going off. Taste is lightly tart, and juicy, spicy bitter. Light to medium body. Touch of acidity. Fine carbonation. Smooth and fairly soft on the palate. Tart and juicy fruit to finish. Very nice. Lots of tasty fruit.

Keg at BD Tower Hill. Pulpy plum aroma. Cloudy violet. Creamy white head forms a ring. Medium sour with underlying sweetness and some hazy spice. Plum smoothie. Does gain some sourness. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Flat-average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Enjoyable stuff.
