ALE BREWED WITH ORANGE PEEL + CORIANDER
An inspiration from the beer country, our Belgian Style Witbier is a good representation of this classic style. A combination of coriander and citrus peel provides a pleasant tart-lemon aroma and orange-citrus flavor. This beer is refreshingly crisp and perfect for those hot summer festivals.

A really nice Wit. Not shy on the coriander. A pint poured at the Pirate House Restaurant in Savannah. Poured golden though clearer than I’d expect for a wheat. (maybe we got the top of the keg.) Thin white head. Smelled nicely of coriander and that orange peel. Taste very nice fully taste of coriander with clove, and mandarin orange. Well done.

Growler from the Savannah Beer Growler. Dark, hazy yellow, with a big, bubbly, beige head. The aroma is lemon rinds, caramel, anise, and some surprisingly forward, resinous hops. Sweet and citrusy flavor, with just a little bitterness. Light to medium body, a little acidic, and very little carbonation. This is a relatively heavy and hoppy adaptation of the witbier style. The mouthfeel is too thick and there isn’t enough carbonation to really capture the light and refreshing aspects that this is clearly shooting for.

Shaker pint draft at the Crystal Beer Parlor in Savannah, Georgia. The pour is a hazed yellow golden with a smallish mostly white head. The aroma is wheat grain, light orange lemon citrus and a subdued spice character of coriander and grass. The taste is a fresh and vibrant mix of the cracked grain wheat character, the citrus bite and the soft and gentle coriander and grass earthy spiciness. The palate is light to medium bodied, un filtered mouth feel, and a dry grass finish. I had this with lunch after a long morning of traveling, and it really hit the spot. Really solid Wit.

Tap at Crystal beer parlour, Savannah. It pours hazy pale gold with a small white head. The nose is mellow... wheat, light coriander, spinach and pithy citrus. The taste is tart orange, lemon, wheat, grassy bitterness, spice and earth with a crisp, dry finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. A solid Belgian wit.
