12 ounce bottle, 9/4/16. Clear orange, large foamy off-white head, poor retention. Aroma of smoke, mesquite, pale malt. The taste matches but with a tiny bit of plum-like fruitiness. Medium bodied, crisp.

Bottle from Mike. thanks for the opportunity! Brilliantly clear deep yellow color with a small quickly dissipating bubbly white head. Bready crackery pilsner maltiness with just a bit too much campfire smokiness imho. Decent but not my cup of tea.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Light malt and light citrus aroma. Sweet malt and light spice flavor with light citrus. Medium bodied. Spice and sweet malt lingers with light citrus.

Office: pours blonde with white head. Aroma is light meaty smokiness. This is a subdued rauchbier. Light smokiness. Hefty smoky bread. Not bad.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 1/2017. Pours crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of wood smoke, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey/spicy rye, light pepper, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale/smoked malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of wood smoke, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey/spicy rye, light pepper, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of wood smoke, cracker, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale/smoked malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a very good blonde ale. All around nice robustness and balance of pale/smoked malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink. Really well balanced between smoke and classic blonde ale flavors. A very enjoyable offering.

12oz bottle at home. Poured a golden yellow-orange color with a small white head. Aroma was very mild smoke notes, actually really nice. I usually don’t like smoked beers. This one had some light meaty smoke character. Light smoke.

12 oz bottle from the fall variety pack. Aroma is apples, light campfire smoke. Pours crystal clear golden with a thin cap of white foam that dissipates into a collar quickly. Taste is sweet and lightly smoky; finishes a little dry with a light bitterness. The smoke is really light, here, making it a great introduction to smoked beers for the noob. I like a lot more smoke than this, but it’s not bad at all.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright yellow-gold color with a huge foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was hickory smoke, sweet and yeasty. The flavor was sweet and yeasty with notes of hickory, smoke and oak. Long hickory and smoke finish. Medium body. Ok.

Bottle. Smoked ham, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with moderate white head. Moderately sweet honey ham, creamy biscuit malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body. A very nice smoked beer.
