12 ounce bottle from the fall sampler, 8/17/16. Clear dark ruby, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toasted malts, maple, berries. The taste is maple, toasted malts, brown sugar, caramel, berries, hints of apricot. Medium bodied, well balanced. Nice beer.

Bottle from my brother, thanks for the beer bro. Dark amber color with a bubbly off white head. Aromas of brown sugary malt and hints of maple and earth. Not horribly complex, but pretty drinkable, I enjoyed it.

12oz bottle at home. Poured a clear copper color with a small white head. Aroma was light sweet maple notes, I guess. Sweetness goes through the whole thing, light caramel notes. Nutty notes. It’s fine.

12 oz bottle from the fall variety pack. Aroma is caramel, bread, vaguely fruity, maple syrup. Pours clear amber with a collapsing beige head that laces a little. Taste is maple syrup, wet river rock, caramel. Pretty tasty.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 1/2017. Pours crystal clear reddish copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, maple, and toasted brown bread; with light nuttiness, toffee, herbal, wood, dark fruit, and toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balanced and complexity of dark/bready malt, maple, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, maple, and toasted brown bread; with light nuttiness, toffee, herbal, wood, dark fruit, and toasted earthiness. Light herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, maple, toasted brown bread, light nutty/toffee, and toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, maple, and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Minimal dryness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and slightly syrupy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.4%. Overall this is a very nice amber ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, maple, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Rich and complex on malt flavors, and never feels too sweet. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours deep amber into a Sam glass. White head with medium retention recedes leaving spotty spiders to skim surface. Sweet maple and toffee aromas. Dry with sweet bready caramel upfront turning to maple before the lasting sour earth finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy, medium-dark brown with a light tan head that dissipates at a moderate pace. Sweet caramel and maple are the most prominent aromas. Taste is a little astringent with a mild maple flavor. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finish is astringent.
Overall, I didn’t really care for this. The reason why, is because the aroma promises a sweetness, but the actual taste is more bitter-sour. Which really throws me off because my mouth doesn’t get what my nose told me to expect. Although, I found that if I let it warm up to room temperature it does get somewhat sweeter, but the finish is still on the astringent side.
