Bottle, smells like a dull IPA. Looks is slightly hay like with a bit of haze. Big dill IPA bordering on imperial IPA flavors. What else can be said? Why do lagers now have to also taste like IPA? Don’t we have enough of these fricken IPA style beers? WTF? Not impressed. Should have passed on this bottle. I probably needed one more to make a sixer and that’s how I got this IPA. Yes, I said IPA, that’s what it is my ratebeerian friend. #cheapIPA If you want eye pee aye, try this, you’ll like it.

Bottle. Pours a boring goldish sort of color and has aromas of oranges with a little bit of maltiness. Flavor is heavy with bitter orange. It’s overpowering, but lovely.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a pale yellow-gold color with a medium sized fluffy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish, tart, fruity and citric. The flavor was pine, lemon, pepper and turned a bit dry. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.

Bottle. Earthy ginseng (almost like sassafras root) and lemon biscuit malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet peach/lemon, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter herbal hay/ginseng flavor. Good body. Really different.

Bottle: Nearly clear, yellow-gold with a frothy white head. Lager yeast, lemon aroma. Lemon-peel, grain malt flavour....resiny/citrus-peel bitter. Very hoppy, malty.... Big stuff in a light ABV package.

12 oz bottle. Pours a somewhat hazy golden with a white head. Citrusy orange aroma with a slightly candylike quality, a bit herbal. Herbal hoppiness with pine and citrus, crisp palate. More citrus peel creeps up over time. A pretty good one.

12oz bottle share courtesy of BiiruBierBeer. It pours with a gold body that supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up rich notes that pulse with peach, lemon, tangelo, pine hops and lemon grass spiciness. Nice! The taste is similar with deep citrus and fruity hoppy goodness from ripe peach and tangelo as well as lemon grass, pine hop bitterness and grapefruit peel. Behind those notes is a modest sugar malt base. Cool brew.

Bottle pour to shaker. Another decent IPA from Shorts. Extra bitter palate, but light on hoppiness. Great taste for a low ABV.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 5/3/2013. Pours slightly hazy golden amber color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass; with some moderate streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon zest, orange zest, grapefruit, tangerine, orange rind, floral, pine, grass, light honey, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop and orange rind notes; with a fair amount of malt balance and good strength. Taste of lemon, orange rind, orange zest, tangerine, floral, pine, grapefruit, grass, light honey, and floral earthiness. Good amount of earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, citrus rind, floral, pine, grass, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop and orange rind flavors; with a light malt balance and light lingering bitterness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a crisp and very sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with no warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice session IPL. All around nice balance and complexity of hop and rind flavors; with plenty of flavor for 4.5% and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
