Basil version. We add fresh basil during the lagering period. This beer has spicy and herbal tastes and suitably accompanies Italian dishes such as meat carpaccios and pomodoro mozzarella.

Hazy yellow color, small white head. Herbal, citric-tart aroma. Light bodied, watery palate. Light orange peely fruityness, herbal notes. Herbs don’t work in beer like this.

Bouteille 33cl du Grain d’Orge à Crissier. BB 04/2014.

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is wheat, fruits, some mild spicyness and mild earth. Flavour is herbs, mild grass, wood and mild earth. Quite interesting, but not that good.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Cloudy pale golden, mid sized head. Aroma of basi, sour milk and lemon peels. Light bodied with crisp mouthfeel. Balanced basil flavour. Notes of white pepper and grass. Low bitterness. Freshening.
