Bottled@SBWF2011. Hazy amber colour with a small wite head. Aroma is quite much sweet malts with quite strong ginger kicking in along with some other spices as well. Flavour is really big on the ginger, only letting some other slight spicyness and mild hoppyness through. Yet quite balanced and pleasant.

36 cl bottle @ home. 7% version, bottled 01/2011, BBE 10/2011
Aroma has lots of ginger, cinnamon and also some other spices. Somehow it feels like bun and gives a feeling of Christmas. Flavour is also strong on ginger. Some cinnamon and something that makes it feel like belgian ale, maybe yeast? A bit stinging finish with the spices. Very spicy, unique and good!

Served on draft at The Birch in Norfolk, VA on 7/15/11. Pours a clear amber color with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of ginger, caramel, earthy notes, raw malts and faint nuttiness. The taste is ginger, soy and a malty finish. Tastes like Asian food. Medium bodied. Interesting.

Bottle from Binny’s Bolingbrook. $2.50 clearance, perhaps because they can’t guarantee supply under the circumstances. Pours deep brown under a big bubbly head. Sweet smell at first, with some honey, then the ginger comes in, bracing like a strong ginger ale soda. Taste has that ginger and a bit of cinnamon stick to my mind. Ginger remains strong, but pleasant throughout, like a ginger chew. Honey malt sweetness.May be a bit of medicinal phenol. But there’s no date I can read on the bottle, anyway it kind of enhances the sweetness. What can I say, it reminds me of a ginger beer I once made. It’s abv is there for all to see, too.

A hazed reddish copper ale with a thick collapsing moka head. Aroma of burned caramel, fruity esters, light ginger, almost vinous and rich. In mouth, a delicious brew with sweet caramel, treacle, nutty notes, veering on a dubbel or a barley wine. Very nice. BB Nov. 2011. LCBO.

Bottle courtesy of Swingbridge during their grand re-opening - thanks! Not much ginger, quite a bit different than other ginger beers I’ve had. Unimpressive.

Limited time ginger brew at the LCBO. Pours a cloudy amber-caramel colour with a big creamy tanned head that stays a long while, creating good thick lacing. The ginger is definitely present in the smell, with some rusty hop and hints of other spices, like cinnamon. Cinnamon is what I taste as well, more than the ginger. Watery generic mouthfeel with just a little stickiness in the finish. Some of the hop shows up in the flavour as well. Was expecting a blond Japanese brew, but was quite pleased with the look of this brew. Says "Please enjoy the balance of the ginger flavor and the taste of malt" on the back label... ha, ha, I will. Thanks for being polite. Please enjoy my review.
