Die untergärige Spezialität mit seiner typisch goldgelben Farbe zeichnet sich durch sein ausbalanciertes Verhältnis zwischen Hopfen und Malz aus. Das sehr süffige Bier mit seiner dezenten Malzsüsse und angenehmen Hopfenaromen überzeugen jeden, der Lagerbier gerne hat.

In my point of view, it is a tasteful lager, with personality: malty, hoppy, dry, pleasant at the mouth and perfectly refreshing, 04.07.17, buying it at one coop at Zürich, serving me this old style bottle at Prélaz.

Sampled draft @ Hiltl Zürich. Golden, citrus, lacing white head. Nose is vegetable, grain sweet. Taste is sweetish hay, pepper, vegetable grain. Meh.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is mild grassy. Light straw. Light bitter, slight grassy. Mild toasted. Grassy and mild grainy finish.

On tap at Hiltl’s in Zurich (Europe’s oldest vegetarian restaurant. Organic and unfiltered according to the menu - definitely unfiltered! A hazy pale amber pour with a tight white head; grainy aroma; light grainy taste, with a trace of citrus in the finish. Pleasant enough, but didn’t stand up to the vege curry.

Ein Zwickel, das als Wirtshausbier durchgehen könnte. Es hat getreidige und hefige Noten und eine dezente Hopfenwürze. Dadurch wird es schön süffig undd lässt sich angenehm trinekn. NIcht die große Aromenexplosion, aber ein solides, trübes Zwickel.

Grasig herber Antrunk mit zunehmender Wässrigkeit. Frisch, die hefig-getreidige Note stoppt die Wässrigkeit. Etwas herb, süffig. Zum Ende vollmundig hefig-getreidig mit seichter Herbe – nett. 7/7/7/9/8/7

Bottled. A hazy yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma has notes of hay - a bit damp combined with a light note of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hay, malt, and minerals, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Bottle, thanks Allen, Cloudy yellow, offwhite cream. Somewhat sour grain aroma. Light fruit, then water, then a light lactic note. Eartht yeast retronasal. Needs a retry from tap I think.
