Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber hue with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, bread, berries and alcohol. Taste is largely malt and alcohol. Poorly executed. Did not finish.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a huge foamy beige head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was tart and bitter fruity hops and hints of cherry and molasses. The flavor was bitter with toasty malts, caramel, toffee, sour nut, and tart dark fruits. Long finish. Medium body. ok.

This brown ale poured a deep amber colour with a nice, creamy, tan coloured head. Scents include candy, fruit and caramel. First swig was a little thin with flavours of old dusty books, smokey caramel and and a little candy. Finish was quite hoppy with a smokey flavour and a semi sweet malt flavour lingering.

12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 11/15/15. Pours a chestnut color with a sheeting tan colored head and heavy, coating lacework. Fairly muted aroma is malty, with some toffee, bread, nutty notes, and a tiny bit of earthy hop. Flavor follows the same path. Malty, not particularly sweet, and with a mild bitterness. Light bodied and a touch thin, with an alright mouthfeel. Not overly flawed or anything, just kinda boring. At least it is a really nice looking beer!

From a bottle i thought the way this smelled way high in alky and perfumy sweet at that. Ok, now that it settled abit smells more brownish and such. Quite high in the annoyance factor. Yes, a little hop malty thang. Leaves a long bitter medicine feel on the back of yer throat. Wew, grows quite astringent in the end. Certainly not a more refined brown ale, heheh. Does not hide alky well.

Bottle from Foods Plus Plaistow NH. Aroma is sweet like an Asti Spumante sparkling wine that tickles the nose. Appearance is a crystal clear dark copper with a 1/2-inch fluffy white head with excellent lacing and lasting power. Taste is quite sweet just like the aroma and has some sparkling wine. Palate is light to medium body with slightly above average carbonation that gives a little bite to the tip of the tongue. The finish is moderate and not as sweet as the main flavor. An interesting, sweet pick me up, a little out of character for a brown ale.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear nut brown with a solid finger and a half of a light kahki head. Aroma is malty. Mostly caramel and toffee with a hint of chocolate and maybe some citrus. Taste is medium bitter. Citrus and grapefruit hops with a solid dose of pine resin. Slightly malty in the finish. Medium bodied with a somewhat slick texture. Lively carbonation and. A decently long finish. Pretty good overall, though I would like to have had a more malty taste.

Bottle at Stop&Go, San Juan. Dark brown color, small off-white head. Caramel , rye, toasty notes, some hops in the nose. Medium-bodied. Caramel, ryeish maltyness, some alcohol in the flavor. Spicey hops in the aftertaste. Clean brown ale with a bit hard mouthfeel.
