The inspiration for this beer was to brew a nice ‘session IPA’. We’ve basically achieved this by taking a standard American IPA and ‘brewing it out’ to about half the stats. Dry-hopped with Willamette, Mt. Hood and Cascade hops.

500 ml bottled purchased as part of the 8 bottle mixed pack at Gomer’s on State Line in Kansas City, Missouri. The beers opens with a pop. The pour is a hazed orange golden with a billowy three inch snow white head. Head takes a long time to fall. The aroma is faint grass with tangerine citrus with cracker malt. The taste is a mix of the citrus peel from the nose, and a not entirely clean mineral earth and the cracker malt in the back. The hop flavors are faint and flat, not sure on age of this one - the bottle says date is stamped on the neck, though I didn’t see any visible date markings. The palate is light to medium bodied with spritz carbonation and a dry mostly clean finish.

Draft. Caramel/light butterscotch and barley malt aroma. Pale yellow with small head. Sweet light butterscotch malt and light orange peel flavor. Good but not a typical SIPA - not sure if my glass was from an older keg.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is a moderate amount of citrus hops after the head dies down. Flavor is again a ok hop presence with some grainy malt and a thin mouthfeel. Finish is a bit watery but the hops stay around for a while. Ok I guess. It’s a session alright as things are a bit too light all around.
