Munich 2018. 330 ml. bottle split by 2 @ Ambar Bistro. Black, little mocha head. Nose is lovely caramel, chocolate, sweet vanilla boozy, caramel. Super thick syrup with sugar, mocha, vanilla oak, bit sweeter good whisky, vanilla bean, chocolate syrup. Far better than the Oloroso version, super tasty.

0,33l bottle at home courtesy of Saeglopor and shared with Sander. Vintage 2017. Bottle #10381 of 10800. black color, very small coffee colored head. smells earthy, spices, bit oxidized, light vanilla, spices. full body, light carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes earthy, spices, oxidized, peppery, grassy, light chocolate, almost herbal. finishes lightly bitter with notes of spices, earth and peppery notes. This had lots and lots of sediment, I guess we got the dregs from the barrel. Terrible that they sell stuff like this. Very oily. Overall bit heavy on the pepper and spicy notes, wood not super noticeable, overall bit weird balance, but not a bad one 7, 4, 7, 3, 15

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4 through King_Alex_II, thanks! Pours black. Aroma is vanilla, oak, bourbon barrel, some peat and tar. Body is heavy, strong and sweet, with lots of peat, booze and actually some oxidation acidity. Sweet and boozy palate, lots of wood and tar. Good, especially considering it's a German BAIS!

Draught at BKL 2018.
Black body, with a massive, stable, dense, creamy, lacing, dark beige head.
Aroma of whisky, barrel, dark chocolate, vanilla, subtle coffee.
Tastes very lovely, of whisky barrel, melting chocolate, coconut, tobacco, coffee, sherry, dark fruits, some booze.
Full, creamy mouthfeel, with a low carbonation.
Finishes warm, smooth, medium sweet, medium roasty, a bit dry, wooden, with moderate whisky, lots of chocolate, cocoa powder, tobacco.
Delicious! Tastes extremely rich and dense, with the whisky quite dominant, but still well integrated, leaving room for lots of other notes. Drinks incredibly creamy, lovely balance. If it wasn't for the quite simple nose, this would be outstanding in its category. As great as the previous version.

Bottle. Black color with beige head. Aroma is wood sugar, bourbon vanilla, chocolate cake. Taste is bourbon, vanilla, caramel, something that reminds me of the cookie part of a Maxibon Ice Cream Sandwich, chocolate cake, molasses, a touch iodine. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Very good, but last year's was better.
