14.9oz can. Delicious dark lager. Straightforward. Rich chocolate, caramel malts, but perfectly smooth body. Bready, pleasant. Good stuff.

0.5 l bottle from 'Rudat', best before May 2026. Almost clear, dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, minimally fruity aroma of caramel, cocoa, toasted nuts and some raisins. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, a bit fruity taste of caramel, cocoa, toasted nuts and some raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit roasty finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Aroma is toasted malt with caramel and nutty notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium body. Good Dunkel.

Bottle. Dark amber, creamy foam. Aroma: sweet, caramel, spicy, a little jam. Taste: sweet, lollipops, caramel, a little halva, not bad.

Im Glas präsentiert sich diese Dunkle orange- bis kupferbraun und klar mit kaum sichtbarer Perlage. Die beigefarbene, feinporige Schaumkrone wirkt flaumig bis cremig und gut haltbar. Die Duftaromatik hält sich überraschend zurück. Lediglich sehr zarte Röstmalznoten von Kakao und Schokolade schimmer durch. Der Antrunk kommt feinspritzig und röstmalzbetont. Es präsentiert sich ein sehr feinrezenter, weicher und schlanker Körper mit einem leicht trockenen Charakter. Aromatisch kommen süßliche dunkle Karamellnoten, Kakao und Schokolade auf. Der Hopfen spielt dabei eine untergeordnete Rolle und fügt sich lediglich mit einer leicht floralen und trockenen Hopfenaromatik ein. Was die Stiltypizität betrifft, passt soweit alles - auch wenn andere Dunkle definitiv etwas mehr aus sich heraus kommen und etwas mehr Tiefe, Komplexität und Textur zeigen. Gut trinkbar ist es aber allemal. Im Nachtrunk wirken die Röstmalznoten ganz gut nach. Auch eine leichte Mokkanote kommt dabei auf. Der folgt eine trocken wirkende Hopfenherbe. Mein Fazit: Ein sehr braves und durchaus typisches Dunkles - aber definitiv mit Luft nach oben was Aromentiefe, Komplexität und Textur betrifft.

0.5l tap. Unclear brown reddish with a fluffy head. Nutty, roasty, malty, caramelly, slightly citrussy, some licorice, basement. Mild dryness, malty sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, mild dry malty roasty sweet finish. Classic Dunkel.

Straight from the bottle. Aroma and taste: toasted malt, dried fruits, vinous notes, a bit salty. Balancing hop . Light sweet and bitter. Mouth feel: light to medium body, appropriate carbonation. Summary: not bad.
