This Munchner-styled Helles is a balanced lager featuring a lightly toasted, yet defined malt character and a touch of hops for a clean finish. Bottle. Golden color with a medium head. Aroma is much like an American pale lager. Taste, also like an American lager, a good American lager.

Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can from shrubber85 poured into a glass. Clear amber with small of-white head. Aroma is caramel malt, medium body, well carbonated but dissipates quickly. Taste is nice caramel malt. Double benefit here pretty nice and pushed me to double digits for helles.

I got this in a trade with zapata. Thanks Ben!

It pours a clear light orange with a small head of foam that quickly settled down to a fine broken layer.

The smell is on the sweet side with notes of biscuit and caramel but I also get a bit of citrus.

The taste is of grain, roasted malt, some caramel, some biscuit, and a slight bit of citrus bitterness. Interesting flavours and I feel it's pretty true to the style.

Lightish mouthfeel and the carbonation is medium, it finishes on the bitter with a slightly tart side. Pretty good stuff and it's an easy drinker.

GABF 2015. Gold color. White head. Surprisingly good, thick head. Very little aroma and light malt flavor, some metal, and surprisingly sweet for the style. Given the sweetness and the metal, this beer is both flawed in its style and not very good or drinkable in any style.

Bottle. Pale pour with thin white head. Light hop grass aroma. Thin flavor, there is no adjunct in this but it tastes like extract is used. Non satisfying finish.

Clear, rich gold with a frothy white head. Corn, sweet grain aroma. Honey malt, soft, light....grain/bread taste. Not spectacular, but ok. Rather weak, though.

Bottled as "Original Lager". This beer pours a clear golden color with a medium thin and fizzy white head that burns away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of bready malt and mild hops. Light body with flavors of sweet malt and grassy hops. The finish is short and mildy bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Average overall.

Enjoyed on tap at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, OH while taking in a Braves vs. Reds game. Appearance like bud light, maybe a tad darker. Aroma light lager yeast with maybe a touch of hops. Taste like bud light, maybe I got hosed? Actually, maybe a bit more crisp than BL, but nowhere near as good as the other Moerlein I had.
