India Pale Ale is a style of ale noted for it's alcoholic strength and bitterness.. Amber in color, this ale offers the drinker a highly hopped, bold beer whose full flavor dances on the palate.

Tap. Pours clear orange, small beige head, some lacing. Aroma is pine trees, light bitter, floral notes. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter, herbal pine resin, caramel. Medium body, low carbonation, lingering bitterness. Meh.

Tap at Broad Ripple. Murky dull orange-brown body. Foamy soapy off-white head. Pretty unimpressive old school UK inspired 90s brewpub IPA. The aroma is off, or maybe it’s just the brutal Ringwood yeast. Some piny bitterness in the finish. Creamy body. Really bland. Unappetizing butterscotch tones. Meh.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange with a medium head that fades to nothing quite quickly. Aroma of bitter citrus hops. The taste is bitter earthy and herbal hops with sweet malts. Medium bodied.

draft - Pours coppery with a medium sized head. The aroma is citrus hops. The flavor is a pretty straight up citrus hops IPA with decent balance, though a little lacking in the malts. The finish is moderately bitter. It’s simple, but good.

Draft sampler at Broad Ripple. Big where it counts, in those northwestern citrussy hops we know and love. A bit grassy after that. Cloudy coppery appearance with a big piney smell. That’s all I wrote? Must be getting to the end of the sampler platter. Very nice beer.

Golden IPA with a light hoppy aroma. Very intense hops, dry and bilous. Needs more malts for balance. Lots of lemon and grapefruits. Metallic finish.
