Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster is a Belgian-style Double IPA brewed with Australian Galaxy hops. The nose is an impressive dank blend of citrus aromas reminiscent of guava and lemons, very green and fresh with subtle Belgian yeast esters. An intense clean bitterness dominates the flavor profile with little malt character to compete with. A slight, fruity yeast sweetness is noticeable in the finish alongside a resounding bitterness.

Bottle from my Secret Santa, many thanks Brandon. Unclear orange color with thick white head. Strong citrus hoppy aroma with grapefruits, oranges, tangerines, pineapples, honey. Strong hoppy taste with grapefruits, mango, guava, tangerines, pines, Belgian yeast. Solid malty backbone. Long hoppy bitter finish. Tasty.

12 oz bottle. Pours a completely hazed amber golden with an off-white head. Yeasty aroma of bubble gum meets some citrusy hop aroma. Similar flavor, with yeastiness leading into citrusy floral hops. Not bad.

12oz bottle via Mystery Box BIF. Pours a murky, orange amber with some lacing white head. Nose has honey and guava, some ripe pineapple, some candy sugar, mango, a little clove. The Belgian yeast is definitely lurking. Flavor has loads of ripe pineapple, guava, mango, some mild clove, a little grass, some green banana, a lot of yuzu like bitterness, even some kumquat. Plenty of honey and candy sugar too. Full bodied, sticky, bitter finish. Liked this alot. Made me thing of On the Wings of Armageddon with Belgian yeast.

Bottle: Pours hazy amber, small off-white head. Pine/grapefruit peel aromas...semi tropical. Taste is pineapple, grapefruit, sweet orange/tangerine. Almost a slightly cooling menthol edge to it. A very good Double. I wanted to make some cryptic Hitchhiker’s Guide remark, but Shrubber85 beat me to it....Oh Belgium!!!!!

Bottle. Tangerine/lemon malt and grapefruit peel/pine aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet tangerine malt and strongly bitter grapefruit peel/pine flavor. Very tasty - not quite "the effect of having your brains smashed out with a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick" but still nice.

Bottle thanks to Kyle! Pours a hazy deep peach with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has lots of tangerine with hints of peach, passion fruit and a bit of resin. Flavor has more bitter tangerine with a hint of bread and light fruits.

Bottle courtesy of BMMillsy. Earthy/musty orange hops, pineapple, caramel malt, and light Belgian yeast aroma. Hazy orange amber with a moderate ivory head, nice lacing. Resinous piney herbal hops, orange peel and pith, onion, and light yeasty biscuity malt flavor. Medium body, moderate carbonation.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 10/2013. Pours moderately hazy bright orange amber color with a 1-2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big pineapple, peach, guava, pear, tangerine, lemon zest, citrus rind, clove, pepper, floral, grass, bread, light banana, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop, malt, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of peach, tangerine, pineapple, pear, guava, lemon zest, citrus rind, clove, pepper, floral, grass, pine, light banana, light bubblegum, bread, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy pine/floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus rind, pineapple, peach, guava, clove, pepper, light banana, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop, yeast, and malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a lightly slick, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian IPA. All around great balance and complexity of hop, malt, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
