(Draught at Protokoll, Berlin, 20 Apr 2023) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of bread, toast and caramel. Malty, roasted taste with bread, toast, caramel, raisins and a mild herbal bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Harmonious and well balanced. Very nice.

Many thanks for this beer from Franken to Mariusz. Moze nieco zawyzona ocena ale piwo napewno jest dobre, nie do konca ciemne, takie polciemne, z mala piana ale nawet trwala. Smakowo to koszerne ciastka piernik bez polewy czekoladowej, nuta szarlotki zrobiona i wymieszana z kwasnym cydrem. Wytrawnosc tu jest i srednia goryczka. odrobina nut tostowych.

[Munich 2018] Thank to Jonas! 500 ml. bottle sampled. Amber orange, small head. Nose is orange, grainy, sweet hay, caramel, bread. Taste is weird, thin grainy, basic grainy bread, weirdly kitchen spice bitter in the finish, overly so & bit dull grainy.

Hazy mahagoni. Aroma is orange zest, caramel, black bread, khaki, citrus pips, very bready, slightly farty. Taste is sweet caramel with lots of umami at first, fruitiness later. Very bready and drinkable. Almost chewy. Long finish. Somehow a bit metallic. Good.

On tap at the brewery. Brown with a lasting off-white head. Malty aroma with toffee and a light roasted note. Sweetish roasted malty flavour with a light bitter finish.

Pours dark caramelly copper, rather clear. not much head. Smell is breadcrust. never had it so clearly, and so intensely ! Taste is sharp, tad bitter, very clean and crisp, breadcrust. Nice and drinkable. rather thin body, rather high carbo. Ends clean, bit dry, very mild bitterness.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark amber-ish, ruby colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Grainy, strawy, minimally spicy, sweet-ish dark malty aroma, a touch of cocoa and chocolate. Taste is dry, dark malty, subtle sweetness, hints of milk chocolate and cocoa. Zwickel-Dunkel hybrid that doesn't fully work for me.

Bottled on November 13, 2017. As a blind tasting. I think it was purchased at Landbierparadies, online shop.Clear red to brown color, tan head. At first some lemon like dish washing liquid scent, also grainy and some lemon fruit. After standing around a bit goes more towards hoppy, but those first couple of sniffs stuck with me. Malty, sweet, caramel taste, the hops in there comes through some. Medium mouthfeel, medium high CO2. Medium bitterness.5/4/5/3/10=2.7
