A solid, malt emphasized lager, the firey hued richness perfectly balanced by clean hop bittering.

On tap. Pours a clear gold with a slight amber hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has sweet grain and hay with a bit of grass underlying. Flavor has sweet grains with a hint of grass and biscuit supporting.

Amber coloured body with a a copper glow at the bottom and a very thin half-centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, light sugar, very minimal hops and a nice fresh grain scent. Light-bodied; Nice fresh malt flavour with a good toasty flavour, some light wheat and a strong caramel and toffee finish. Aftertaste is mellow and subdued with only a little toffee and nutty flavours making things bitter, but the malt and light grain stays throughout. Overall, a nice light beer with some solid flavours and nothing bitter or offputting. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased on 30-December-2013 for US$2.39 from Corner Store (Bait and Tackle) in West Palm Beach, Florida sampled on New Year’s Day 2014 (January 1st) in my hotel room here in Clearwater, Florida.

Good bready smell. Taste is initially creamy medicinal and licking sweet. More personality than a lager fer sure. has a few rude ale characteristics. Same on finish; almost cloying.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman’s West Madison. Pours a clear amber color with a thin fizzy head that fades quickly. Aroma of caramel with some fruity notes. The taste is sweet malts, caramel, floral hops and a slightly bitter, earthy finish. Medium bodied.
