Bottle. Toffee malt, banana, clove, and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy brown-yellow with small head. Lightly sweet banana with wheat malt aroma. Nice - probably would be higher had I been able to taste this fresher.

Cloudy, honey-gold with a short, yellow-tan head. Yeasty, wheaty, orange aroma. Taste is tangy....wheat, a little boozy.

2011 version. A hazed golden weizen with a thin creamy white head. In aroma, banana and orange pulp, with cloves, curacao, very nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet banana malt with light mineral notes, nice and smooth, light alcohol in finale. On tap at Bieres et Saveurs, Sept.3 2011.

Pours hazy orange-tinged amber into a weizen. Tan micro head with good retention recedes to coat surface leaving no lacing. Caramel, bread and toasted nut aromas. Past it’s prime with sour caramel, nuts and mild clove. Lasting bitter vegetal finish.

750mL bottle, pours hazy golden with a big white head. Wonderfully floral aroma with tropical fruits (mango, apricot, peach), citrus, orange and wheat. Flavour is equally compelling, though featuring spices upfront, followed by orange, citrus, the tropical fruits, wheat and finishing again with these spiced notes and clove. Most exceptional beer.

Bouteille 750ml.

750 ML bottle. A nice brunt orange color, looks like apple cider in appearance. Nice lacing. Nose in slight orange peel, a touch of wheat and lots of booze. Ever have 99 Banana’s liquor? Smells the same. Taste up front is orange, in the middle of the sip you get the wheat. The finish you get a bit of vanilla. The finish reminds me of baking vanilla extract. I was able to drink this chilled and warm. A very interesting brew and well worth the money. And It packs a bit of a kick at 10 ABV. SMOOTH!

2009 edition from the Rare Beer Club. Sampled from a 750 ml corked brown bottle this beer poured a murky orange-caramel color with a small orange-tan head that produced good lacing. The aroma was rum, apricot, caramel, orange and bread. The flavor was tangy, bitter and fruity with notes of apricot, cherry, vanilla, caramel, nut, bread, bourbon and fig. The finish was long with fruit, caramel and bourbon lingering. The body was thick and full. Fairly boozy overall but it worked with this one. Excellent.
